6/1/2023 0 Comments Insurmountable odds meaningThanks to the heroic, if dishonorable, actions of Kang, Digna was the only life lost. Cornelius was ONE point away from death, he would have died if Kang had been a second late. Kang attended the wounded and dying, starting with our treasured goat Cornelius. Together with the mercs, Kang defeated the bloodied shek. Knowing this, Kang hired all the mercenaries he could, and led them toward the camp. There were people very much on death's door by now, only moments away from taking their final rest. Again, it was the only way out of this mess. Kang ran like hell all the way to the nearest waystation to get help, and he managed to do it. It was the only thing he could do at this point, or everyone would probably die. I considered this to be super against Kang's character, but he ran. It was looking like she would only be the first of many lives lost that day.īut by some miracle, Kang, our strongest warrior, woke up. She laid under the desert sun and took her final breaths there. One of our less seasoned fighters, Digna, poor Digna, lost an arm. The caravan put up a good fight, but they eventually joined us in the sand.Įveryone was unconscious and bleeding out. We had already weakened them, surely they can't take on an entire caravan! This is our moment! All those who could stand and join the fight did so, and for a moment I had hope. As soon as they stepped inside, the Shek attacked. I guess they missed all the bodies laying around. That's when it happened: A trading caravan approached and apparently, like us, assumed that the outpost was friendly. After a long battle, it seemed we had done nothing but given them a workout. One by one, every single party member was cut down and put in the sand. It seemed like the Shek just would not stay down, and in truth, we didn't do all that much. Not believing in leaving a single man behind, we stood our ground. But there were a LOT more Shek inside than I had anticipated. My people weren't weak (or so I thought) and so I took them head on. Aaaand we were instantly attacked upon setting foot inside. I thought, why not walk inside? Maybe I could talk to the leader. I was very surprised that the guards were friendly, even though I knew they were a hostile group. We were taking a walk through the desert, when we came across a neat looking outpost called New Kralia. Our armor and weapons were ragtag and at the time we were just some wanderers out for adventure and glory. It was my first playthrough, and I had a decently sized group with me. Its been a very very long time but I think I can recall everything. Ooh, ok this is one of my favorite Kenshi memories. I walked to the closest trade post and saved there. I was lucky too because the dust boss died from crossbow bolts and I looted him with high grade gear. Well that was my favorite run starting with six rebirth slaves and I didn't know you could get six but I dismissed them to have just one. Now, now my friend from another save, silandra it's a tank. So this was to coolest trick she did, starting with 0 toughness playing dead and in a couple of 30 or so times she jumped to 89 points. Huh silandra was smart and hold her ground knowing that if she stay close to the mattress she could heal and get back at fighting until the crosbowmans kill everyone else. You already guessed, she got unconscious and until her wounds will heal she will fake her death to escape. You should have seen it, bolts flying around hitting themselves as the poor silandra keeps defending her position while clubs kept crossing her protection. Well it went south really fast and bad for the shek ex-slave because the camp, you see, it's dust bandits's and a feud just started all of the sudden. It is when she realized a camp that seems to be friendly fellows to have a shut eye and well she could benefit from a good sleep. What don't kill you make you much stronger, as Mr Hatfield sing and the little silandra just escaping rebirth and fleeing into skinner's roam starving to death would remind herself.
